New Construction & Commercial Painting

Ewing Painting Inc. has been painting for new construction & commercial projects for as long as we’ve been in business. That’s for over 10 years! Painting for new constructions & commercial is a different type of beast and is more work than your typical interior/exterior project.

Here is an example of the steps that we take when it comes to painting for New Construction:

Interior Paint

Apply flat finish paint to all gypsum wallboard.
Apply primer at doors and jambs.
Apply caulking and spackle at all door jambs and baseboards
Apply semi gloss to all doors and jambs (semi gloss) Sand between coats

Exterior Paint

Apply exterior wood primer at fascia boards and door jambs
Apply 100% acrylic flat finish at exterior metal, fascia and eaves.
Apply semi gloss to all paint grade doors, rod iron AC screens.

Here is an example of the steps that we take when it comes to painting for Commercial Projects:

Interior Painting

Apply PVA primer to all gypsum wallbaord
Apply finish paint to all gypsum wallbaord
Apply primer at all paint grade doors and jambs
Apply caulking and spackle where needed
Apply finish paint to all doors and jambs

Exterior Paint:

Apply primer on all surfaces
Apply 100% acrylic flat finish on all surfaces
Apply semi gloss to all paint grade doors

These are just examples of the very basic steps we take when taking on these type of new projects. Depending on what the customer is asking for specifically or the size of the project these “to do” lists can really get large.
