After working on a painting project for nearly 4 weeks in Big Bear, we moved on to a residential painting project in another mountain resort of Idyllwild. Trekking on the rocky terrain with our ladders that can extend up to 40′ can be a challenge. Safety is often on our mind with securing the ladder from falling or leveling the ground – sometimes even tying ourselves off.
Part of our exterior painting includes scraping lose or pealing paint, grinding and sanding to feather the edges. The preparation for the paint is always a bigger aspect of the project than the actual painting. We will have well over 40 hours of preparation on this home. Which will showcase through the final coat of paint. We are using Pratt and Lambert coatings supplied through Village Hardware in the local community in Idyllwild.
